I'm so glad that we became best friends and fell in "love" at the age of 13. :) (Boy oh boy our love has come a long way.)
I'm so glad that you were such a good boy in high school.
I'm so glad that you served a full time mission in Zimbabwe Africa. (Now that it's over at least.) I'm so glad that you wanted to get married.
I'm so glad that you are so goal oriented and are working so hard in school.
But most of all, I'm so glad that you are mine and that I get to party with you on your birthday. :)

Happy Halloween!!

Every Halloween I am debating wheather or not to dress up.
Every year on Halloween day I think "OF COURSE WE HAVE TO DRESS UP!"
Every year we scrounge up something last minute.
We had a blast this year wearing my mom and dad's old Halloween costumes.
Everyone else looked so cute.
Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!!!

I Love Tonight!!

Right now I feel like I am drugged because I spent 45 minutes in the bathtub tonight. :) I like feeling like I've been drugged..... Is that bad? It's an innocent kind of drugged, more like I'm so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open, and when I get out of the hot water, I can feel that my heart is beating slower...... like I've been drugged. It feels good cause I know as soon as I am done tapping on my keyboard I can crawl into my cold sheets and close my eyes for the night. I hope the wind blows hard again tonight. I think it feels cozy to be in bed with Carter when the wind is blowing.

Tonight I am sitting up in my bed typing on my laptop. As I lay here I can hear Tay-Tay teaching my cute husband how to do his math homework. Carter is so cute!! I love him! He gets so excited when he learns new things. I have really been amazed with his love for education since he has come home from Africa. :) I am still listening to them....... I like it!!
I have it good!
I hope everyone has had as nice as evening as I have! Sweet Dreams!

On a side note..........
Have you ever seen a cuter, sweeter, happier faced preschooler?
I honestly haven't!!!
OH I LOVE HER TINY FACE!!!

I can't tell if she is smiling so big because she loves school, or because her hair is curled. :)

Happy Birthday Brother!!!

Dear Raysh,

I cannot believe that you are 14! Where the heck does the time go? I remember when you were born and you had a little old man face. You have always been the little cuddly brother that I love! You have grown up so much in the past couple of months but you will always be my sweet little brother! I love you and hope you had a great birthday!

Weekend Get Away.......

This weekend Cart and I decided to get out of town for his one day "fall break". Yeah really, fall break for Weber State was a Friday....that's it. Well we packed our bags and headed to the little city of Wendover, which neither of us had been before. (I have been once to eat at the buffet.)

We had a BLAST in the 2 nights that we were there. We hit up the Seafood Buffet which I could seriously eat every day of my life!! YUM!! We played a little roulette, and watched people loose hundreds of dollars in minutes. (That part made us both sick though.)

It was a good get away! Cart has been working so hard in school! REALLY! I'm not just saying that. He had been so devoted and so dilligent! He gets little sleep and A's on all his tests even though his classes are pretty much death.

He needed a break and I needed him, so it worked out quite nicely. :)

Apparently this is how Cart thinks you dance in Wendover. :)

Us trying to take a picture with the casino sign in the back (didn't work so well).

One of many plates at the all you can eat seafood buffet.

You can even get 3 deserts......my dream come true.

A little roulette (or a little too much).

Happy Birthday Liese!

Dear Liese,
Thank you for always being such a sweet friend. I am so grateful you are apart of our family! You have become one of my best, closest friends! I hope you had a fabulous birthday! Thanks for letting us party with you!! Love you!
Love, Jord

Letter to Mindy

Dear Mindy,
You don't know me but I was at your concert tonight. I took pictures with you and my cute sister and darling mother and had you sign our Anchor CD's that we can't get enough of. :) I even bought your sheet music that I will probably never be good enough to play. (I will keep practicing.)
My husband served a mission on Zimbabwe Africa and I wrote to him while he was away. (Before we were married obviously.)........ He had very rough days there, emotionally and physically. In one of his letters he wrote to me he told me about how he would lay in bed at night and put his iPod in his ears and listen to a particular singer. It was the only thing he could do to find peace at times. Immediately I went to the store and bought CD he was talking about....YOUR CD, and I have loved you ever since. :)
You may just be doing what you do some days, but I hope you know that what you do touches so many lives. Thank you for coming to Farr West tonight. We love you even though we don't know you personally.
-Hugs and Kisses,
Jordan Ryann Musgrave
P.S. My husband thinks your next CD should be acapella because your voice is absolutely INCREDIBLE. It's so nice to hear your voice live and know that you truly are just as good as your recording voice. :)

My Dress

This morning I looked through my dresses trying to decide what to wear to church. Still on the hanger, I would pull each dress out, look at it for about 5 seconds and then let go of it. "No. Not this one. What shoes would I wear with this one?........." Then I came to one dress at the back of the closet that I hadn't seen for a while. A dress that has a lot of meaning to me.
(Isn't it funny how such simple things can have such deep meaning in our lives? I love that!)

It was my dress I wore to my wedding luncheon after my sealing.
Memories and butterflies came to me. For that minute I remembered so much!
I remembered looking and looking for a dress to wear after the temple.
I remembered FINALLY finding that specific dress and FINALLY feeling like it was the right one for MY special day.
I remembered packing the dress night before my wedding to head to the hotel in Salt Lake City where I would be getting MARRIED the next morning.
I remembered changing out of my pure white temple dress and slipping into this dress in the changing room after all of our pictures had been taken after my AMAZING, PERFECT sealing.

I remembered wearing my dress into my luncheon at the Wight House in Bountiful. I was over come with a feeling of love looking at all the people who had come to support our new lives together, and for all the people who loved me so much to make the day so perfect.
I remembered walking out of the luncheon with my new husband with hours to spare before the reception.
I loved that day so much! Oh I loved it!

And I love my dress for all the good memories it brings back to me! :)

(At Our Wedding Luncheon March 7, 2009)

I decided I would wear it today. So I got ready for church with time to spare.
Carter and I were assigned to give the opening and closing prayer in sacrament meeting.
Carter went up on the stand and as I folded my arms to listen to the prayer, I suddenly realized that somehow I had forgotten something very important this morning.............. MY BRA!!! OOOOPPS!! Then I suddenly remembered that I was assigned to give the closing prayer. Oh boy! By the time Carter came back down to sit after giving the prayer, I was laughing so hard. And by the time I told him the delima, I had tears streaming down my face.

I now have another fond memory in this dress that I love. :)

(Before Church September 12, 2010)

Hope you all had a nice sabbath.

Don't miss out on my new favorite singer's concert tomorrow night at Bella's Courtyard in Farr West. :)
I'll see you there.

First Day of My New J.O.B.

Today was my first day at McKay Dee ENT and Allergy. :)
The nurse who is leaving in November has opened this new Allergy Clinic from scratch and I'm so excited that I get to help see all her hard work through. I feel like I am starting a new adventure, and wait.............I'm home at 5:30pm and don't feel like I got ran over by a train today? What is up with that?
I can really get used to this. :)

My New Favorite Thing...............

If you are looking for something new to put in your CD player or on your iPod for a little pick me up, I have been listening to this darling CD all weekend.

I Love it! Also, she wrote the song "All About Your Heart" for another person that I truly admire.

All and all, I LOVE THIS CD.

Preview the album here.

To My Husband

(One of my favorite pictures of my studly husband)

It's not our anniversary, it's not your Birthday, it's not any special occasion. It's just a simple morning that I am having an overwhelming feeling of love towards you.
You are not here right now, you have left hours ago to go to work on a Saturday morning. Never an ounce of complaining is ever heard from your lips and I'm sitting here looking at a list of things you could complain about. You could complain about the clothes that are not washed, you could complain about the money that is not in our bank account, or MY old car that you are driving...........but you don't. (EVER!).
Every time I come home from work I am greeted with a smile on your face. Every time YOU come home from work I am greeted with a smile on your face. Your warm inviting spirit is felt by everyone around you. (And I am the one who gets to spend eternity with you!)
You make me want to be a better person. Someone who is motivated and organized, someone who has a respect for everyone (no matter who), and someone who puts the rest of the world before themself.
I have a long ways to go to equal who you are, but that's why I am so glad you are who I chose to stand beside. I will always be happy as long as I have you! You were my best decision, and I have only learned to love you more since the day I married you because I have come to see that you genuinely are who you portray yourself to be.

I love you Carter Thomas Carter Musgrave. (wink wink)

More Good News

The ENT clinic just hired 2 new nurses, 1 full time and 1 part time. I am the new full time nurse so I have just been waiting to meet the part time nurse who I will be working with.
Ever since Tuesday when they called and offered me the job I have been telling Carter that I hope the other nurse is nice and that she isn't too bossy and mean. :) I just told myself no matter who else gets hired, these hours are fabulous and I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Today I was emailing my new manager about certain things coming up and I nonchalauntly asked her if they had hired the part time nurse yet. She emailed me back and told me that yes they had and her name was Pam Folkman. I about came out of my chair I was so excited. Pam is one of my cutest friends at work. She actually worked on one of the floors and every time I'd float there we would have a blast and talk forever about life. I just loved Pam!! Now what do you know? We are going to get to work hand in hand with each other. Neither one of us even knew that the other one of us had applied so it is just so crazy that it fell into place so nicely.
You can tell when the Lord has his hand in your life when you couldn't have even planned it so perfect if you wanted to set it up!
I am so excited and so eager to get started. Thanks to everyone who has congratulated me! That really means a lot to me!
