Weekend Get Away.......

This weekend Cart and I decided to get out of town for his one day "fall break". Yeah really, fall break for Weber State was a Friday....that's it. Well we packed our bags and headed to the little city of Wendover, which neither of us had been before. (I have been once to eat at the buffet.)

We had a BLAST in the 2 nights that we were there. We hit up the Seafood Buffet which I could seriously eat every day of my life!! YUM!! We played a little roulette, and watched people loose hundreds of dollars in minutes. (That part made us both sick though.)

It was a good get away! Cart has been working so hard in school! REALLY! I'm not just saying that. He had been so devoted and so dilligent! He gets little sleep and A's on all his tests even though his classes are pretty much death.

He needed a break and I needed him, so it worked out quite nicely. :)

Apparently this is how Cart thinks you dance in Wendover. :)

Valentines Get Away!

We had a great Valentines Day,

As I hope you all did too!
Cart made reservations at the Little America in SLC.

When we got there they had put out a Rose and Sparkling Cider. :)

My request for dinner was The Cheesecake Factory. :)

We got take out because the wait was literally 4 hours. Ha!!

We ate our deliciousness and rented a

movie for some outrageous price.

(Carter's favorite part of staying in a hotel is

to rent a movie in our room.)

We woke up and ordered breakfast in bed

before we cleaned up and headed home.

It was a perfect little get away.

It's always nice to have a little time with just the 2 of us.

San Diego and Mr. Olympia

Carter's parents took us on a get away to Cali!! We were there only 4 days but we did everything we set out to do and we had a blast doing it!!

Day 1: Meet new friend on plane, eat pizza at Oggy's, BYU vs. San Diego State football game, head to their cousins beach house, EEEWWWW and AAAHHHH over the beautiful house on the water.

Day 2: Sleep in till our bodies wanted to wake up, hit all the shops on main street, ride the bicycle built for 2 along the beach and find seashells to take home to Conlee, BBQ, sit in the hot tub in the most beautiful backyard with palm trees hovering over us, play XBox in our bedroom till we can't keep our eyes opened another second.

Day 3: Sleep in again just cause we can, Check out the Bentley, Mercedes, Porch, and Lamborghini in the uncles garage, head to Disneyland, walk on to every ride (Oct. is the perfect time for Disneyland), eat all you can eat BBQ chicken and ribs and root beer out of a mason jar while a Disney cowboy named Tex Tumbleweed sang us country songs, watched the performance High School Musical 3 (loved it!), drove to our Hotel in San Diego, walked along the water in the dark and saw a shark and an octopus...............NO LIE!!!!

Day 4: Sleep in yet again just because it's our last day to do so, eat breakfast by the pool, lay out and swim till noon, visit the San Diego Temple, grab some lunch at In 'N Out, buy matching San Diego T-shirts at the airport, fly home.

Thank you Danny and Me'Chel, it was the perfect get away and we couldn't have asked for anything more!! We love you!!

Also, the other day was Carter's work party and you'll never guess who was there................Yep, Mr. Olympia!!! You're eyes would have popped out of your head just like mine. Not because he was hot, it was more like because he was so huge it was creepy!! If any of you know my husband, you know he's pretty big and muscley (He's my hunk of love!) Well Carter looks like a midget compared to this dude, no offence Carter Man!! It was pretty interesting to meet him! Not too personable of a guy if I do say so myself.

I'm Back People!! :)

Alright America!! We finally have the Internet! Now my dreams have completely came true! I am married to the love of my life AND I get to blog about it!! :) Gosh I feel so out of the loop!! I don't really know where to start. But I'm just going to start at this point in time!

I have decided to bite the bullet and go back to school for my Bachelors degree (Boo). So knowing that Carter and I (along with the rest of the residents in Ogden) will be starting school in a week or so, we decided we need to take trip out of reality! Carter just got us into Mountain Biking (I guess you can say us, personally I think he just got me a bike so that I felt included:) ) so we decided to put our bikes to good use and head on down to the great city of Moab! We stayed in our own personal cabin along the river bank for the first 2 nights. It was seriously awesome!! We loved it! At night we would lay out on the deck and listen to the Colorado River rushing by! We hit up some mountain biking trails and kiaked the river. Gosh it was so fun to just go and do whatever we wanted for 3 days. The only things sucky about vacations is coming home!! I hate it! And once you are with your sweet husband for 3 days straight, it pretty much sucks to go back to work and not be with him every second. I just have to keep reminding myself we'll do it again. i guess I just want a life where I get to play all day every day!!!
