Happy Birthday Conlee Taylor!!

Oct 2 was Conlee's birthday! This is a late post but I wanted to post that I love you Conlee and I'm so glad you were born 12 years ago! Holy cow! I can't believe you are seriously 12! I'm glad that you are my little sister! You are such a joy to our family! I love you! Happy birthday!!

Cakes, Cakes, and More Cakes

So I have been a slacker at blogging lately but Roo and I have not been slacking in the cake department! :) We have had lots of summer birthdays in the family which means lots of cakes!! :) It has been a blast!! We were in Mexico over my mom's birthday and so her cake is still going to be made (I know it's way late, but we have the idea and everything.....just need to get some time!) I feel bad that I didn't post shout outs on these guys birthdays, but just want you all to know how muh we love you and are so glad you were born!

This was Danny's Ice Cream Cake! He loves Ice cream way more than cake!

We thought and thought what to make my dad and we decided on a work shirt! I think it turned out pretty cute! I think this would be super cute to add a tie to and take to a mission farewell or homecoming!

Bridger got a weight plate because just like his brother (Carter) he lives for the gym!

Krew Daniel Karras is 6 yrs Old!!

I can't believe it, but Krew is now 6 years old! Really, I can't believe it! He had an awesome birthday party the other night and the theme was Rock Band! Krishel is so cute and always goes above and beyond on her kids birthday parties! They had the TV outside set up for everyone to play rock band to, she had a full prepared meal of concert foods such as nachos, hamburger bites, corn on the cob, brownie bites, little smokies, and much more! It was a blast!

Here is a little spotlight on Krew Daniel Karras:

Favorite Color: Yellow
Favorite Song: Yellow Submarine (really, he knows every word)
Favorite Pass Time: Sitting in the Tree House at Grandma Chels With Carter and Bridger eating Root beer Float Popsicles. ( I wouldn't know if it is fun or not because Krew has recently posted a sign on the tree "No Girls Allowed!!") :)
Favorite Food: Fruits and Vegetables (Anytime we eat ice cream or candy Krew reminds us that we are going to get cavities and diseases if we eat junk food.) :)
What He Wants To Be When He Grows Up: Jack of All Trades (no lie, this is what he told his preschool class on his spotlight day)

Krew keeps us all on our toes with the adorable things that he comes up with! We always get a giggle out of his funny and genius comments!

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

Cart woke me up on my birthday to open my big silver birthday gift that had been sitting on my table for 3 weeks. Ha ha! To my surprise he had secretly ordered the exact Kitchen Aide I had been dreaming of for months! I found it refurbished on the Kitchen Aide website and it was a great deal for the nice stand mixer that it was! He had even ordered a few extras to add to the surprise! It was AWESOME!!! He's the best!

We had dinner with my family and we ate my favorite Shrimp Tacos from Bajios! Dee-lish!

Then we went to my parents house for cake and ice cream! My mom had made me the most beautiful birthday cake I had ever seen! And Banana cake, my favorite!! Next thing I know my darling sister in law comes in with the stinking cutest cake too! What? She had made me a darling birthday cake too!! It was my favorite colors and delicious as well! It had this delicious like raspberry cream filling that I have got to get the recipe for! Thanks Liese!

My sister Roo spent hours making me the most adorable hat for Mexico! I can't wait to where it as I bask in the sun and drink virgin banana coladas! I'm gnna be stylin!Liese never ceases to amaze me with her thoughtfulness as well, not only did she just whip up a layered birthday cake, but she made me cupcake stands that I'd been dreaming of since I saw them in a boutique a few months ago. Conlee and Raysh both had picked out adorable running outfits for me for the Ragnar, Chance gave me a well needed new stethoscope, my mom bought me my start to my dream business by getting me wedding cake pans, and my dad decided to fill my empty flower beds with bushes and flowers!

The night after my Ragnar run, Me'Chel, Danny, and Bridger took me to Dinner at the Union Grill. Me'Chel surprised me with a Magic Bullet. (If you don't know what this is, you should look into it! It's the bomb!!) A few days later my others sisters Katee and Krishel took me to lunch at Mimi's cafe in Layton. Katee made me the most adorable candle sticks and Krishel gave me a wallet that she picked perfectly to match my purse! Gall I have the most creative, thoughtful sisters ever!! All 5 of them know what's up!

I had such a nice birthday! Everyone made me feel so loved and appreciated! I can't wait to spoil you all on your birthdays cause you most definitely spoiled me on mine! Love You ALL!!!!

Dulce de Leche Cake

This is SERIOUSLY the best tasting cake I have ever made. I am so excited I think I've finally found a cake recipe that I LOVE! I made this cake for Katee's graduation party. My husband isn't a big cake fan and even he about died over it! I'm so excited!! You can try it too!

Dulce de Leche cake: 1 white cake mix with 1/2C ice cream caramel topping.

Make cake batter as the box calls for and just add caramel.

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Filling: 1Pkg 8oz cream cheese, softened, 1/2C confections sugar, 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/4 cup milk. Combine all till filling consistency.

Cinnamon Butter cream Icing: 1/2 C Crisco shortening, 1/2 cup butter softened, 1 teaspoon Wilton's clear vanilla, 4 cups sifted confections sugar (1lb), 2 tbs milk.

Add all ingredients except for milk and sugar.

Add sugar 1 cup at a time, once frosting consistency add milk.

I got these recipes from Wilton. You're gonna love it!!

Kenya is 3!!

Kenya's 3rd Birthday was on the 9th.

She wanted a CHEE-LEADA birthday party!

It was perfect cause this 3 year old is a hot pink LOVER!

Everyone dressed up in their chee-leada, football, and fan attire to attend.

Birthdays Birthdays All Around

We had a very wonderful day on Saturday.

We got te celebrate not 1, not 2, but 3 birthdays.

It was the twins 17th birthday,

and Me'Chel's 50th Birthday Party!

(Her B-day was on the 16th.)

It was so fun and I'm so grateful for

all 3 of these people in my life.

Chance: Chance is one of thoses easy going people that anyone can get along with. He has a tender heart and is a little hotty!! I am so glad he is my brother. Whoever gets him as a husband will get a keeper for sure!

Chandler AKA Roo: Roo has been my best friend since the day she was born! She has been with me through it all! She is always the one who know my feelings the best out of anyone. She can read me without me telling her anything. She will always be my best friend, and that brings me a lot of comfort.

Me'Chel: Any of you who know my mother in law know that she is the most kind hearted person you will ever meet in your entire life. And I'm not just saying that. She is a gem. She has become one of my very closest friends these past few years and I'm so blessed to have such a good mother in law.

Fall Feelings

I'm not sure what is it about fall........ but I absolutely love it! LOVE IT!!!! There is something in the air that makes me feel comfortable. It makes me want to cook lots of yummy things for my husband and get my house straightened and feeling homey. I have never been one to cook a whole lot, but now that I'm married I've found that I enjoy it a lot more thn I ever knew. I have found a few AWESOME cook books with some really yummy recipes. We've had lots of excitement lately. Two of my cute friends got married. Congratulations Mrs. Amber Sims and Mrs. Stacey Hendricks. I love you both! My sweet Aunt Jenny in Oklahoma GAVE me her upright piano. YEAH gave it to me! Oh I love her. My kind family hauled it home for me on their way home from Oklahoma! (My dad cracks me up when he tells the story about laoding it and driving it all the way home.) He's a trooper. Thanks mom and dad! Love ya! I copied my darling cousin Rosemary and painted in green and I must say, I'm loving it! Thanks Rose, You're a doll! Me and Cart made a trip up to my parents Condo in Eden the other night and the fall colors are BEAUTIFUL!! They are a must see, really they will take your breath away! Today is my baby sisters Birthday! Happy Birthday Conlee Tators! Sure do love you sissy! I'm so glad you were born today! Life wouldn't be the same without ya! Me and Chandler have a secret desire of opening up a cake shop one day! (No Lie) We spent the day thinking of a cake that fits Con, and whipped it up! (For all the rest of you family members, we also picked out the cakes we are making all of you for your Birthday's..........Liese you're next!) Well that's my post for the day! I've got to do better at posting since this is how I journal! Also Carter is selling his Mustang! It's a sad day! That car is a Beaut and it's the nicest car I've ever owned. If you know anyone who is interested give us a call or leave a post. I'll post more info on it when he gets home! Conference is this weekend! Oh how I love our prophet! I have to work which I'm not looking forward to but I'm trying to stay positive and be greatful for my job! Hope everyone is enjoying fall as much as we are! We've already used our cocoamotion 3 times! And I found a DELICIOUS Stephens Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate that warms the soul! Oh I want some right now! Much Love!!
